  4. Salams sir. I'm so glad I've found your blog. I was searching for historical sites near my ancestral hometown, near Mianwali. I suddenly found whilst perusing Google Maps (a hobby of yours, as you mention in one of your blogs) the substantial ruins at Kafir Kot, near the banks of Indus at Chashma. I am astonished. I know Lahore has history, and other major towns have sites here and there, but I could not have imagined such a large site near my hometown. My relatives never mentioned it, and I guess they would not have an interest regardless. I doubt any of them even know or have been.

Anyway, I kept looking around, and saw mention of other sites in the area. That has led me to your blog. I am astonished by the range of your travels. Thank you for all your documentation. I will be looking at your website for many hours to come now.

I just wish that we could do something about all this history, preserve it, inoculate people with its value. Every street and alley of Europe has history, and we fantasize about it - but truth be told, our own land is no less rich.

  5. This is an amazing blog. There is so much of information about our rich history and historical places within our country, for which we are not aware. Mr. Ali Usman Baig 's extensive hardwork, dedication, skillful expedition and resolve for his passion to explore historical places is truly commendable and a role model for our young generation that exploring Pakistan is a very healthy activity, which must be expedited in true letter and spirit. I further believe that Mr. Ali Usman Baig's extra ordinary contributions should be brought in limelight through media for awareness of masses about homeland and as encouragement for Mr. ali Usman through moral and financial support as honor of his achievements.
